Will you become a partner of the Focuss.Info Initiative in 2012?

After serving the field of global development studies & research for five years, the Focuss.Info Initiative sees itself forced to stop with its activities and thereby it's involvement to empower local professionals in understanding and using social media as a way to share knowledge across borders and cultures.

For a period of five years, the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) has been the only investor of the Initiative and as a result of the economic downturn, ISS cannot commit itself to continue the Initiative on this basis. The Focuss.Info Initiative therefore tries to find and set-up a collaboration of development institutes who are commited to continue the Initiative's activities as of 2012.

The Focuss.Info Initiative has closely collaborated with the Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio & Communication (BNNRC) in Bangladesh, Danish Development Research Network (DDRN) in Denmark, Development Research Network (D.Net) in Bangladesh, European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI) in Germany, the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in Nepal and the Nordic Institute of Asian Studies (NIAS) in Denmark. Not to forget the workshop facilitators in Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ghana, South-Africa and Zambia.
