Social Bookmarking and other Web 2.0 tools training workshop- Topics to be covered.

The course will focus on building skills on the use of social book marks and will cover the following topics:
• Overview of information sharing and collaboration tools
• Social Bookmarking Overview
• Tagging
• Sharing
• Folksonomy
• Voting/ rating
• Delicious
• Online Storage
• Focuss.Info objectives and overview
Participants
It is expected that 13 participants will be invited to the workshop and this will include lecturers, learners and researchers.
Methodology
The training course will be a combination of PowerPoint presentations, hands-on experience, group discussions and presentations in a classroom setting. This approach of theory and practice will enable the participants to gain as much about the tools as possible. Participants will be trained on the above listed content and will be taken step by step through the practical setup and learning the basic functions. The benefits of using the social bookmarks will be shown.
A follow-up programme via e-mail will be put in place to find out how the participants are using the social bookmarks when they return to their stations and further support will be provided where necessary.
